Please bring a yoga mat or blanket to lay down or sit to feel comfortable! (No yoga poses) An eye pillow or towel is recommended. Most people like to prop their knees and low back. We will provide some blocks and other props for your comfort, so bring your other props if needed to lie down for an extended period of time.

If falling asleep feels hardโ€”or staying asleep feels even harderโ€”youโ€™re not alone. Modern life places constant demands on our nervous systems, often leaving the body overstimulated just when itโ€™s time to rest.

In this 2.5-hour workshop, weโ€™ll explore how sleep is influenced by the state of the nervous system and how simple, accessible yoga practices can support deeper, more consistent rest. Drawing from yoga philosophy and the principles of balance and self-study, weโ€™ll look at sleep not as something to โ€œfix,โ€ but as valuable feedback about how weโ€™re living, breathing, and moving through our days.

Youโ€™ll learn short breathing and resting practices you can use throughout the day to reduce stress and regulate your nervous system, as well as a gentle evening yoga routine designed to help you wind down at night. Weโ€™ll also discuss common habits that unknowingly sabotage sleep and how to work with them compassionately rather than through rigid rules.

Youโ€™ll leave with:

-A clearer understanding of how the nervous system impacts sleep

Simple breathing, meditation, and restorative practices you can use anytime

-A practical nighttime ritual to support better sleep

-Tools for approaching sleep with more awareness, ease, and self-compassion

This workshop is suitable for all levels and is especially supportive for anyone feeling tired, wired, or stuck in patterns of restless sleep.

This weekend-long restorative yoga teacher training will prepare you to confidently and skillfully teach complete restorative yoga classes. Victory Power Yoga is hosting the Pranakriya School of Yoga Healing Arts for an immersive training that weaves Tantric Hatha Yoga philosophy with modern approaches to stress reduction, offering practical, hands-on tools for supporting deep rest and healing. Through posture, breathwork, meditation, mantra, visualization, and skillful use of props, participants will leave confident and prepared to safely and effectively guide restorative yoga practices.

Restorative Yoga:
This is a style of yoga and deep relaxation that emphasizes the meditative aspects of yoga. Students can expect a relaxing atmosphere to allow the body to work into the "rest and digest" mode to better heal and rejuvenate itself.

Reiki:
Reiki is a healing technique based on the principle that the teacher can channel energy into the patient through light or hovering touch as a means of enhancing the natural healing processes of the patient's body and restoring physical and emotional well-being.
