Yoga History Workshop: what every yogi should know
In this two-part workshop, Catherine will guide us through the major threads of yoga’s rich history—from ancient origins to modern interpretations. We’ll explore the foundational philosophies that shaped yoga, how different lineages developed over time, and how these systems continue to influence our practice and teaching today.
Each session will include a guided non-heated asana (postures), breath, or meditative practice to help integrate what we’ve learned—not just intellectually, but in our bodies and breath. Come ready to deepen your understanding of yoga beyond the mat.
Part 1: 8/6 at 7-8:30pm
Part 2: 8/27 at 7-8:30pm

Whether you are looking to improve mental or physical performance, relieve symptoms related to an illness, or are just curious to find out what the Wim Hof Method is all about— a WHM workshop offers something for everyone.
It’s not all about the time you spend in the ice. It’s all about the breath and mindset techniques!
We have hosted @stpetepranayama, Aaron Dobies, a certified Wim Hof Instructor for multiple years and all levels of people joined - those curious about the “hype” of the breath and ice baths, the dabblers, and even some aficionados who have experienced the magical transformation of these techniques and wanted to practice deepening their skills — some even drove 2 hours!
This is an entry-level workshop intended for beginners and curious newcomers. All facets of the Wim Hof Method will be covered. You find out how oxygen and cold put beneficial stresses on your body, learn how the mind can be controlled, and practice the breathing protocol and ice bath.
