Nicole McKenna RYT-200
Nicole embodies gratitude in her life and teaching. Her yoga students can expect to be challenged, praised, and reminded to see opportunity within challenging yoga poses and in life. Nicole lives with arthritis, which informs her daily gratitude expansion practice and both her and physical yoga practice and teaching. She inspires her community to customize any pose to access power and freedom.
In her first career, Nicole was a master fitness trainer in the U.S. Army. She is now pursuing a PhD in Forensic Psychology with a concentration in crisis response, and she will complete a dissertation on yoga therapy for trauma recovery.
When she is not studying or teaching yoga, Nicole journals daily and enjoys time with her fur babies, Jax & Daisy, both Miniature American Eskimos, and Dyna the cat. You may even catch her competing (and winning) billiard league competitions. Nicole’s current favorite pose is Scorpion Pose, because it still evades her. She’s learning to build mental clarity as well as physical endurance.
Nicole’s bucket list includes many yoga retreats, traveling with her mom, opening a yoga therapy center, and have an ambush makeover on the Today Show Plaza!
Nicole completed her RYT-200 with CorePower Yoga in August 2017 and “Teaching Restorative Yoga” training with Pranakriya School Of Yoga and Healing Arts in June 2019.
